From 28 September to 28 November 2026, Calogena will hold a voluntary preliminary consultation on its proposed nuclear district-heating plant at the CEA site in Cadarache, in Bouches-du-Rhône. This consultation is overseen by two guarantors appointed by the National Commission for Public Debate (CNDP). Over the course of two months, the public will be able to find out more about the project, ask questions and share their views at a series of public meetings and via the consultation website

Veolia and Calogena have signed a one-year Memorandum of Cooperation to explore the potential of Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology to decarbonize district heating networks, with a particular focus on Central and Eastern Europe.

On the occasion of the World Nuclear Exhibition, Škoda JS and Calogena announced the signing of a partnership agreement to strengthen their collaboration in the framework of the small modular reactor project "CAL30".

On 20 October in Luxembourg, Finnish Minister of the Environment and Climate Sari Multala and French Minister of the Economy, Finance and Energy Transition Roland Lescure signed a declaration of intent to establish long-term, diversified cooperation between Finland and France in the field of nuclear energy.
