On 20 October in Luxembourg, Finnish Minister of the Environment and Climate Sari Multala and French Minister of the Economy, Finance and Energy Transition Roland Lescure signed a declaration of intent to establish long-term, diversified cooperation between Finland and France in the field of nuclear energy.

Calogena and the CEA have signed a letter of intent to examine the potential installation of a Calogena module at the CEA's Cadarache centre, as well as its possible connection to the centre's heating network. An area has been selected for assessing the feasibility of installing the Calogena module at this location.

Calogena, a subsidiary of the Gorgé industrial group developing a small modular reactor for district heating, has announced that it received an official invitation from Kuopion Energia, the public operator of the district heating network in Kuopio (Finland), to take part in the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process for the equivalent of three of its modules.
