Se on suunniteltu nimenomaan kaukol\u00e4mm\u00f6n tuotantoon.<\/p>\n<p>Reaktorin ydin on alle kuutiometrin kokoinen. T\u00e4m\u00e4 yksinkertainen ja kompakti rakenne yhdess\u00e4 matalan k\u00e4ytt\u00f6l\u00e4mp\u00f6tilan ja paineen kanssa mahdollistaa reaktoreiden sarjatuotannon ja k\u00e4ytt\u00f6valmiin reaktorin kuljetuksen asennuspaikalle. Se pohjautuu painevesireaktoritekniikkaan ja sen tehotaso on tutkimusreaktoreiden kokoluokkaa.<\/p>\n<p>Reaktorimoduuli toimii matalassa noin 6 baarin paineessa, mik\u00e4 on v\u00e4hemm\u00e4n kuin kotitalouksien l\u00e4mminvesivaraajissa. Reaktorin matala k\u00e4ytt\u00f6l\u00e4mp\u00f6tila (n. 120\u202f\u00b0C), l\u00e4mm\u00f6n suora hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4minen sek\u00e4 v\u00e4h\u00e4inen m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4 oheisj\u00e4rjestelmi\u00e4 tekev\u00e4t konseptista olennaisesti yksinkertaisemman ja turvallisemman kuin mik\u00e4\u00e4n nykyinen tai suunnitteilla oleva ydinvoimareaktori. Reaktorin syd\u00e4men korkeus on noin 80 cm eli vain noin 1\/5 EPR:n syd\u00e4mest\u00e4. Polttoainesauvoissa k\u00e4ytetyn uraanin rikastusaste on matala (3,4 %,) Uraanista puristetaan polttoainesauvoihin sopivia uraanipellettej\u00e4. Polttoainenippujen mekaaninen rakenne on sama kuin perinteisiss\u00e4 ydinvoimalaitoksissa k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4 olevien polttoainenippujen.<\/p>\n<p>Moduulin elinkaari on my\u00f6s suunniteltu osana teollista suunnitteluprosessia.
